I have a question concerning the Florida Medallion Scholars award, a component of the Bright Futures program.?
Upon graduating from high school in 2009, I entered college, whereupon I discovered that I was being awared the Florida Medallion Scholars award. As my first year in college nears its end, I was wondering if it was possible to receive this award again next year. Is the Florida Medallion Scholars award for college freshman only? If I can receive it again, is there anything that I have to do, or will it automatically be transferred to my school as a part of my financial aid, as it was this year? I have surpassed the minimum GPA requirement (2.75) and am enrolled full-time. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Both awards from the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship program (Academic Scholars and Medallion Scholars) are automatically renewed, as long as you satisfy the renewal criteria. At the end of the spring term, the Florida Department of Education reviews your academic performance, and if you qualify – renewal is guaranteed. You don’t need to do anything to renew – you just have to keep doing well in school.
To remain eligible for the Medallion award, you must earn that 2.75 cumulative GPA that you mentioned, and you must have passed at least 24 credit hours during the prior academic year. Starting this year, you must also repay your school for any classes dropped after the initial drop/add period. In other words, if the Scholarship paid for a class, and you dropped it after the first week or so of school, you are now required to repay the cost of the class (or classes that you dropped). If you owe for any dropped classes, you won’t receive further aid until you resolve that issue.
There are other limitations – for example, the scholarship won’t pay for more than 45 credit hours per year – nor will it pay for more than 132 credit hours in total.
Other than that – you’re good to go. If you have kept up your end of the scholarship agreement, you’ll be automatically renewed for next year, and the funds will appear on the aid offer letter that you will receive from your school for the 2010-2011 school year.

Ladies-how does this sound to you?
Im in college and there is this girl that i really like. Since the beginning of the school year we’ve gotten to know each other pretty well. We text each other, we talk at school, walk to classes together, etc. She probably knows that I like her because for her 21st birthday I gave her a rose and some chocolates in a spongebob squarepants bag (because I know that she likes spongebob). I gave it to her at the end of the day when I walked to her car with her. I’ve never been in a relationship before. Anyways, I plan to ask her on a formal date very soon. There may be one problem: another guy may be trying to move in on her. Honestly, I’m probably overreacting. I think that he invited her to his bday party because they exchanged numbers the other day and I saw that his bday was coming up. He invited me too, but I don’t know him well enough so I didn’t go-plus I was helping at my church anyway. The reason he asked her after class was because she doesn’t have a facebook. Plus, if they just exchanged numbers 3 days ago wouldn’t that be a little soon? I know too that he was in a pretty strong relationship up until about 2 months ago-is that enough time for him to move on and be ready to date again-remember I’m kinda new to this. Again, I’m probably overreacting (we texted a few hours ago and she didnt mention the party, but then again I didn’t ask about it or anything so idk).
Anyways, I kinda planned on asking her for a date on this tuesday. Here’s how I planned to ask her:
At the end of the day as we walk to our parking lot together (which we always do) I could get her to laugh (something that I can do no problem) and then tell her how beautiful she is, especially when she smiles (which is very, very true). Then if she reacts well to that I could say something like: "you know, I’m really glad that you came to school here. I really like you and I was wondering if you would like to go out with me sometime…..like on a date". Would that be good? I was gonna call her and ask her if we could get together tomorrow because we don’t have class tomorrow but then I couldn’t compliment her. Do you think that I’m on the right track? If she doesn’t want to date me then I would really like to remain friends with her, so if you think that I should avoid any words or anything please let me know!!! Serious answers only please!!
Oh-and as for what to do on a date if she says yes I was thinking maybe dinner and a movie or perhaps dinner and ice skating (i havent done that in a while plus i think it would be fun to do together) or maybe both? Any other ideas are more than welcome. Thanks!
You should definetly ask her on a date as soon as possible. I like the idea of your walking her to the car and asking her on Tuesday. This would definetly set the mood and increase your chances of getting a "yes". And as for the other guy, don’t be afraid to ask her in a polite way about what’s her opinion of him. Maybe you are overreacting, but it never hurts to know. I have faith in you, you seem like a really nice guy. Good luck, I’m sure she will say yes.

1977 chevy silverado?
I am looking at a 1977 chevy silverado and was wondering about the steering wheel. Im a pretty tall guy (6′8) and was wondering if there was any way to maybe adjust the steering wheel to fit better. I have not gotten a chance to test drive the truck yet and, in the pictures I have seen, there doesnt seem to be a whole lot of room between the steering wheel and seat

If the list is in order then Green Day should be higher
(like…highhh!). The Ramones and U2 could be higher. Have you thought about Sugarcult or Generation X? Dude I dunno I couldn’t make this kind of list :p. I don’t like Slipknot, Blink-182, Hinder or Limp Bizkit on there. just some thoughts.
edit – ooh yeah the Who!! See this is why this kind of list is impossible :p

Lists are just somebodies opinion and shouldn’t be takin too seriously. Having said that though, I agree with noble8. Anybody who comprises a list of great bands that does not have The Who in the top 100 is just a plain stupid ignorant list of bands.

Hades is sent to rule the underworld, but he makes plans to throw Zeus out of Mount Olympus with the Titans’ help. The three Fates warn him that his plans would be endangered if Hercules, Zeus newborn child, is still around by the time he tries to take over Mount Olympus. Hades sends Pain and Panic to turn Hercules into a mortal and kill him, but they fail in their attempt and leave him on earth with his divine strength to be raised as a human. Hercules grows up but later learns he is the son of gods, and in order to return to Mt. Olympus he must turn into a “true hero”. He is trained by Phil the satyr and becomes the most famous hero in ancient Greece after battling monsters of all kinds. He even saves Mt. Olympus from Hade’s take-over, but he only becomes a god again after he offers to exchange his life in order to save Meg, his love, from Hades’ underworld and shows that a true hero must have a strong heart and not only physical strength. |

whats size wheels should be used on a hercules ladies bicycle with fork legs that are 15 1/2 inchess long?
Ive measured each fork leg and they are 15 1/2 inches long but im unsure as to what size wheels it is supposed to have 26" or 28" wheels?.
All i have is a frame and forks, i can only guess the age based on similar bikes ive seen on the web. Its about 1929.
To the stupid answer- I dont have any wheels on it, otherwise if i did, i wouldnt need to ask!.
It should be the same size as the wheel on the back.

and if you need to buy 2 wheels + tyres and tubes, etc. you could be looking at more than the cost of a new bike.
If you really want to do something with it, take it to your nearest bike shop and they can try various wheels to find the right one, the one that matches up with your brakes!

ok, now we know it is a vintage bike, but is it worth spending any money on, is the frame any good, what about all the other components? bottom brkts, head set, pedals, etc. are they worn out?
Another important question is, what type of brakes does it have? are they rod or cable operated, if rod brakes, then the wheels are probably westwood rims.
Unless you want to restore it to original condition ( expensive) it probably is scrap unless you can sell the frame only as a restoration project.
