Weird/Strange/Disturbing Dream… What?
In the dream:
I’m a soldier, and have been dispatched in an urban city in ruins within the United States (as if the U.S. was invaded). During the landing sequence of the helicopter, I had a flashback of boot camp and how my friends teased me of how weak I was compared to them. Then I came back to my senses and jumped off the helicopter. The squad I was with was given the task to search for something (that I don’t remember).
*Insert Forgotten Sequence*
I’m all alone. I can’t recall what happened to the squad (i.e. if I got separated or if they all died). I’m getting shot at from behind, and I run into a wrecked house/building with a broken ceiling (i.e. open roof). In there, I see 3 bad guys, and 3 civilians; the civilians are kneeling w/ their hands on their head facing the wall, and the bad guys were about to execute them.
*Insert Forgotten Sequence*
With the 3 civilians behind me, I order the 3 enemies to line up against the wall. I finally manage to see their faces. The 3 bad guys were my friends back at boot camp who ridiculed me. I cry and ask why my friends were the bad guys, and they didn’t say anything. They looked scared and disappointed, but never spoke a word. I shot them w/ a pistol in the head one by one in anger/tear. I knew what I had just done broke my heart, but should they have been found guilty as traitors, their fate would’ve been much worse. I was justifying murder of my 3 friends… I gave the 3 civilians their weapons and gave a brief how-to lesson and motioned them to follow me.
*Insert Forgotten Sequence*
Me, along w/ the 3 civilians, start running towards the rendezvous point for extraction while being fired from behind. One of the 3 get shot, but we still continue; no one looking back. We finally make it to the rendezvous point, and a helicopter arrives. While getting on the helicopter, I get a non-fatal shot. It hurt like hell, but I still had enough power to push the civilians onto the helicopter and jump in myself. While flying off, I see a wrecked bridge while my vision was beginning to blur. I don’t know why, but I was fascinated about this bridge… I started passing out.
*Insert Forgotten Sequence*
I’m awake and am nearing the safe zone. Suddenly, one of the 2 civilians whispers in my ears "I’m sorry. I have to do this." He then briefly mentions that it was some sort of a trick to get me to kill my friends who were the good guys all along. I try my best to stop him from getting a hold of the helicopter controls, and get pushed out in the process. While I was falling to my inevitable death, I see the chopper explode in the air; perhaps one of the other soldiers managed to overpower the "civilians". I started to cry remembering that I murdered my friends, and closed my eyes before I could hit the ground.
I woke up before I hit anything, and was tearing.
Any explanations… or comments regarding this dream? >.>

Do Puerto Ricans want to be an independent country, the 51st US State, or stay a territory of the US?

40 to 45% want to stay in our current status (territory) or slightly beter
40 to 45% wants statehood.
2 to 5% wants independence.
Whatever % is left is undecided and shifts their support to one side to the other, or vote for "none of the above" giving that way an indirect suport to remain in status quo.
Support for statehood has cionsistently increased in referendums or plebiscites since 1967. Today as stated above it is practically tied with supporters of actual commonwealth / territory / colonial status. If rate of increase continues statehood supporters may reach clear majority in the future.

Not knowing how to design a flag with 51 stars in the blue square? There are many options:
* 3 rows of 9 stars each mixed with 3 rows of 8 stars each:
3 x 9 = 27 3 x 8 = 24
27 + 24 = 51 stars total.
Simple math.

Surely there are other options to consider. USA’s 1st flag had 13 stars, it has changed a lot since then to currently 50 stars flag.

There have been votes many times on the issue and the residents of Puerto Rico consistently vote to remain a US Commonwealth, with a large minority voting for statehood and a small minority voting for independence.

Personally, I want to be an independent country. I wouldn’t like to be a state for three reasons: Letter 1) How would you add another star to the flag. Number B) Our government is easier and more interactive with the island (I think). C) I do not say the pledge anymore, and neither does Puerto Rico. I don’t believe in it, I made up my own pledge.

I pick territory. If we become a state, we loose our culture, we wont be called Puerto Ricans anymore, but Americans, Our History wont be taught in our schools, and we wont be able to compete in Latin and worldly competitions.
If we become independent, I have to admit, we wont survive. Today’s 95% of Puerto Ricans survive on American goods. If we become independent, those goods are gone, our country will be bankrupt, and not many of us will be able to make it.
If we stay as a territory, not only are we able to recieve the freedome and great things we recieve from the American Peop[le, and not only will we remain being in close ties with the Americans, but we will be able to represent our country worldwide, and not be forced to represent the USA.

I Truly belive that you are miss guided. Becomeing a state would not make you loose your culture. That is just a scar tactic from the Republican party playbook. If you are worried about your spanish language being taken away, you should not. The United States has no official language ( at the Federal level). States can choose their own language. You would be surprised at how many rights that states actual have in the union. As far as your history not being taught in schools. Well that is just non sense. I am from Alabama,USA. I took a course called "Alabama History". Every State has their own history course. As far as Puerto Rico not being able to compete in Latin and world Advents. Puerto Rico could still compete in latin American advents.( As long as team USA dosen't have a problem with it, and team USA has shown none objection when it comes to Puerto Rico having its own national teams.) As far as competing in World events. That would probably not happen, but that is just comes with being a state. As far as the 51 star flag is concerned. The U.S. Army already has a 51 star flag designed, and is ready to be flown if Puerto Rico becomes a state. It looks just like our current flag.

It dependes on who you ask. some want one of those choices, others want another thing. the populares want something more like the autonomous regions of spain, where they are called ‘countries’ while still part of the spanish nation, although that wouldn’t be possible under the u.s. constitution. the statehooders want full statehood if just 50% of the pop votes for it, and most likely the u.s. congress wouldnt act with only half of the pop desiring full statehood. the independece movement is hopeless, even if most populares vote for independence, is not enough to make it happen.
the new ppr party wants to throw all the bums out of office so they’re in charge, but puertoricans would never allow that to happen.

No doubts that the island will eventually be a state it has being the desire of most of the past US. presidents and the US congress and anyone who visits the island will notice that there is nothing to miss from the mainland, with the exception that is United States with latin flavor, when I moved to the mainland fealt like I was still back home and again, this time was the English instead of Spanish. Therefore, I am very proud to say that I’m an american from Puerto Rico.

I would pick indeoendent if only puerto ricans were more independent as a life-style, but most of us like to be too comfortable and not know how to deal with reality in hard times. we dont need to be slaves or poor in order to become independent, we just need to be more united and smarter in terms of political and life situations, but as long as we only think of the colors and its ignorance we are not going anywhere, we need to think beyond the colors, we need to be united as a pueblo and figure out the solutions of the real problems and stop being so greety about everything. In order to become an independent country we need to be united, help each other, have great communication, analyze problems and look for the solutions to it, and over all take out the pillos from government.
PR as a territory its not bad but it could be better, PRicans have been feeding from the the "mother land" for a long time in history, but when crisis hits the "big one" we sink too.
I dont want PR to become a state for the simple fact that the US sucks, I was born and raised in the US and compared to other countries such as Denmark, Canada and Europe, we really dont do it. For the US to be one of the "capital power" country in the world we do have a lot of problems and issues going on and we eventually will sink and so will PR along with it. There will be change alright, but going downwards, thats how hard times get, unless a miracle or something.

numbness in buttocks and groin and slipped disc.. has it slipped again?
I suffered from a slipped disc a year or so ago, after months of mild backache due to back posture and obesity. I haven’t really been the same since the incident but I lost 2 stone (not enough weight to lose but a start) and was starting to get stronger. Being on my feet for long periods of time and sitting down caused some problems but I was 90% ok really.
I narrowly missed having to have surgery because I had numbness down one side of my leg… it was only mild numbness and I had horrific sciatia too. the numbness never really went away to be honest but my physio and dr were kinda laid back about it.
2 weeks ago I had a bad flare up. My lower back pain was kinda bad (although not acute) and the numbness in my buttock, saddle and back of the thigh seems worse. My DR thinks I am fine and the physio said that the disc must just be a bit inflamed again and not to pain but, I am panicking, I thought that if you get numbness you have to have surgery because it can damage your nerves?? My legs also feel jellyish sometimes, like weak but to b honest it’s worse when im worried so that might be anxiety.
I am doing my exercises to strengthen my core, losing weight and improving my posture (I am not needing painkillers) but I am worried that this is getting ignored, should I just calm down? lol I am going to rome next week for 2 days and I am worried about that, as I had to cancel a holiday 2 weeks ago because of being worried that the disc will come out again!

it sounds like a pinched nerve. the symptoms will disappear once the nerve is no longer
pinched. you can do this thru stretching, traction or spinal decompression. it gets worse
when you worry because the anxiety causes your back muscles to tighten. anti-inflammatory
meds and xanax might help. unless you have had an MRI, you don’t know what’s going
on with your spine. sounds like you need a new ortho doctor.
i was told i needed surgery due to a bulging disc but after 3 mos of spinal decompression
treatments, the disc no longer bothers me. look into the DRX9000. treatments are expensive but it’s better than surgery.
