IMDB rating: 6.00 Plot: While traveling to Rockwell Falls in an assignment of the US Census Bureau, the surveyor from Chicago Steve Kady has two flat tires nearby the small town. On the good side, there’s the musical "Brigadoon", starring Gene Kelly and Cyd Charise. In that case, it’s an enchanted Scottish village that no one may leave~except for the outsiders who happen upon it.
These scary, out-of-the-way towns are popular in fiction. Of course, there just might be some places out there that might qualify as spooky though I’ve never encountered them in all my travels. Shirley Jackson’s short story "The Lottery" has been the main source of inspiration for Stephen King, Thomas Tryon and many other writers. H.P. Lovecraft also specializes in creepy little towns.

I don’t think there are really towns like that. I’m sure that they just made it up for the movie.
